Getting Started - Collect and review transactions from Xero
The next step in your Zeropath journey is to collect and review your transactions.

From the Getting started section, select Collect and Review Transactions.
Or select Import Transactions from the side menu.
You will then see all imported transactions. If no transactions have been imported, click the Collect from Xero button on the right-hand side to begin the import. Please note that only invoices dated on or after your baseline year has been determined will be displayed.

From here, you can review each imported Xero transaction and determine whether it is relevant for carbon reporting.
You should look out for transactions that relate to emission-generating activities, such as utility bills (electricity, gas, water), fuel purchases, mileage claims, rail travel, flights, accommodation, waste services, materials purchased and other business travel expenses. These types of transactions typically need to be collected and categorised, as they contribute to your organisation’s carbon footprint.
If it does not relate to an emission source (for example, general office supplies or non-operational costs), it does not need to be collected.
For relevant transactions, use the Add Carbon Details box on the right-hand side to search by supplier name, description, or category or use the category dropdown next to the search box to filter the categories.

Once you have identified the correct category, click on it to review and confirm that all details are accurate. When you are satisfied, select Confirm to complete the process.
If the transaction does not need to be matched use the Ignore button to remove it from the imported transaction list.

You will then see a green confirmation box confirming that the transaction has been saved and successfully linked.

Zeropath will try to link transactions it thinks are related so that they can all be matched together to the same carbon category. When new transactions of the same type are imported they will automatically be matched.

As part of the import you can either use the quantity from Xero or the value and enter a price per unit to calculate the quantity.
