Manual entry - Logistics - Freighted goods

Transporting goods, staff, or services can contribute to your organisation’s emissions. Recording information such as distance travelled, vehicle type, freight weight, and fuel used helps build an accurate picture of your logistics footprint. This data can then be used to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

From the left-hand sidebar, click Manual Entry, then select Logistics.

If you want to record information for the upstream or downstream movement of freight by any means, road, rail, flight or shipping then select Freighted goods. These are usually third party haulage companies.

If you want to record information for company vehicles, either cars or vans, use the company vehicle option. These vehicles are usually ones owned by the Organisation.

On these entry screens you have access to all cabon categories setup by Zeropath and any additional ones setup specifically for your organisation. You can either scroll through the cards to find the category you need or use the Search bar and enter part of all of the description to filter the list.

Click on the category to start entry.

Select the time frame you want to record data for, such as day, week, month, quarter, or year. Then choose whether you are entering Mileage, Fuel, or Journey data, select the reporting unit (kilometres, miles, or tonne.km), and enter the quantity.

You can then assign the entry to a business unit and apply any tags required for reporting purposes.

Click Save to record the transaction. Once a category has been selected you have the option to return to the previous screen using the Change link at the top of the screen.

You can check that the entry has been saved correctly by using the Filter on the right-hand side to select the relevant time frame. Then click the dropdown arrow next to the entry to view the details.
